This unique woven fabric is medium weight and has a slight textured feel. The fabric drapes well and is made using ethical and eco friendly fabric cupro as well as polyester.

For those who prefer to use alternatives to animal derived fabrics such as wool and silk, cupro is proving to be a strong alternative. Cupro is said to be more ethical and sustainable than silk. The popularity of this fabric has been increasing in the last few years.

Cupro is basically a regenerated cellulose fabric made from cotton waste. It is made using the teeny tiny silky cotton fibres, known as cotton linter, that stick out of the cotton seed and that are too small to spin. Cupro is also 100% plant-based, which means that, it is vegan and cruelty-free. This makes it a more ethical choice to silk and it is machine washable, which is more eco-friendly than dry cleaning!

This fabric can be washed at 40 degrees and is suitable for tumble drying. The fabric is perfect for a range of dressmaking projects and is available at an unbeatable price of only £1 per metre!

Composition: 40-60% cupro, depending on the colour chosen. The remainder is polyester.

This fabric is 58 inches wide
