Plain Polycotton Gaberdine Twill Weave Fabric - Full 30m Roll - available now at the UK's lowest price!
Only £4.95 per metre!
Gabardine is commonly used for suiting due to its hard wearing and durable properties. The tight twill weave makes the fabric hard wearing and crease resistant.
This fabric suitable for trousers, uniforms, workwear, windbreakers, smart jackets, suits, overcoats, aprons and many other garments. It is also soft to touch making this an extremely popular fabric for men and women's clothing.
Great quality gabardine/twill, top service and delivery, I've bought a few times now just fancied some in a darker grey, great for stowaway hoods in heavierweight items as well as a whole anything from throusers through anoraks etc (my use case). Always great fabrics and service with PF, recommended once again, many thanks. :)
Lovely quality fabric to make my husband shorts. Very easy to work with. Frays a little but not much. Don't know how it'll wash and whether the dye will come out of it. We'll see. Good value too.
I love this fabric so much! I have used it twice now, and bought another colour for a third project. I love the range of colours. I needed a vibrant purple to make a cape for a 1960s mod outfit for The Goodwood Revival, and this is PERFECT. Lovely to sew and presses beautifully. I lined this with the liquid satin which is also excellent.
Excellent fabric. Excellent company.
Very impressed with the service.
Still working on the mega project...
Will send photo when finish, by the end if July. Love your company, will buy more fabric when completed this one...😄👍
Awesome stuff, great quality twill with multifarious application, Im intending to use for making a nice hat and boonie but also pocketing on a meatier outdoor jacket. Always good quality stuff via Pound Fabrics, cheers!
A great fabric for these trousers. A wider leg than I normally wear as I'm not very tall but am rally pleased with the result and plenty of fabric over for the hat and bag.
I love this fabric. I made the September coat by merchant and mills and I had enough fabric to add a belt. The fabric was beautiful to sew with and the added bonus was that it hardly frayed. Will definitely buy more.
I'm so happy with how this turned out! I finished it just a couple of days before New Year's Eve (making capes around NYE has become an unintentional tradition - I did it in 2019 and 2022 as well). I love making anything with tailoring, so this was a joy to sew. The fabric was a dream to sew! Very easy to cut and press (I did use a press cloth just to avoid any iron shine). It has lovely drape but is also structured enough for a tailored coat. I'm going to buy some more to make a trenchcoat! The pattern is the Charm Patterns (Patreon) Drama Club Cape.
I purchased this gaberdine twill for trousers along with some black. I made the black up and realised it’s not really suitable for trousers as it doesn’t hang well. I didn’t like them at all. Therefore I may make shopping bags out of the navy and the remainder of the black.
