Washed Linen Blend Fabric- available now at the UK's lowest price!
This gorgeous, medium to lightweight fabric is a blend of cotton and natural ramie linen. This fabric has a lovely drape and weight and is very easy to sew with. This linen fabric would be suitable for making tops, skirts, dresses and trousers. Depending on the project, it may require lining. Available in 37 colours.
Beautiful and comfortable material. Excellent to stitch with, irons and washes well. Great colour. I made a free matchy matchy all day culottes with this. Making the pin tucks was so easy because the material stays put. It frays a little so good to do zig zag or cover stitch. Can use pincking sheers to cut to prevent fraying. I have got dark pink and will definitely be buying more to make co-ord sets with this material.
I loved making the sew house 7 free range slacks in the vintage green linen. The fabric was lovely to work with. It was easy to sew and don’t fray as much as some other linens I have worked with. I have now bought some more in terracotta!!
This fabric washed really well and doesn't crease too much, it's quite easy to iron. It frays but not too badly, I did french seams.
It is quite a heavy weight, I'd say it's better suited to a Scottish summer than the 32c I'm experiencing in Spain at the moment. As someone else commented it is slightly rough on the inside, it's not a major problem and will probably improve with washing. I think it has a really expensive look to it, I'm delighted with my trousers and will no doubt be ordering more.
I've held off share until I had a photo from my customer, who was thrilled with this gorgeous fabric and the dress, as am I! It washes, handles and drapes beautifully. I've also bought this for myself in pink for a top and have no hesitation in recommending it!
I made a jacket with the washed linen fabric in vintage lime and a navy anti- static lining. I was very impressed with the quality of the linen blend, which was great to work with and does not crease too much. Great value for a great price.
This fabric is very well behaved. It's quite thick, I used it for a shirt for a fantasy character in Empire LARP and it worked very well for the "medieval peasant" look. It would also work very well for light summer trousers or overshirts, but it's probably a bit too structured for a lightweight blouse. I also found that it kept me at a comfortable temperature all day, so that's a nice bonus!
Unbelievably lovely for the money. Made a gorgeous pair of Closet Core Pietras Pants - admittedly unfinished in the photo. There will be more of this in my life! Well done Pound Fabrics
This is a lovely cotton/linen mix. A bit heavier than pure linen and certainly heavier than I was expecting but worked fine for the simple summer shirt I wanted to make. I pre washed the fabric twice - after which it did not shrink any further. The shirt is a lovely blush lavender colour and I also ordered the Light Brown for some trousers that I haven't made yet.
Great fabric, washed well, lovely to sew with and doesnt crease that much. Using the TATB Jaimie PJ pattern, I made a quick pair of trousers which will be ideal for the warmer weather.
Another winner from PF. This a beautiful linen mix in rich wine colour. Washes very well and is easy to sew. I made a simple dress using a modified New Look 6517 pattern. Neckline and armholes are finished using a bias tape from PF as well. I made lots of garments using this fabric. Tops, dresses, trousers (Closet Core Pietra pants and shorts are perfect in this linen). Colour doesn’t fade after washing and I have not noticed any shrinkage.
Lovely fabric! I used the two shades of green to make this late Victorian waistcoat (pattern by Black Snail). I was very happy with the way the fabric behaved.
This washed linen blend is great quality, I have made my son two pairs of linen trousers, one from this teal and the other in the navy. I also made myself a pair of wide legged trousers in the red. It's a fabric favourite of mine!
This was my first purchase from poundfabrics and I was very happy with my purchase. I love the colour of the linen blend fabric and I found it very easy to handle and it sewed beautifully (a real bonus as I am not an expert !) I would definitely buy again.

Lovely fabric, have just washed it and have dried it on the line however there is a line going all the way down the centre of my piece. Thankfully I intend to make trousers with it so hopefully I can cut around it. I bought 4m and wanted to make a co ord top but think that's unlikely now due to the fault.
Great quality at an excellent price as usual. I would describe it as dark olive green rather than khaki do not quite as I expected. However, will look great with the remnant of a lighter green that I ordered at the same time . Cant wait until I have time to make them up.
