I wanted a stretch velvet to reupholster my dining room chairs. This fabric is gorgeous! It has a two tone effect so as the light catches it you either get a silver hue or the taupe hue. It has lots of width-way stretch and sews very easily, I didn't need to use a ball point needle and sewing with a zig zag stitch retained the stretch. I have covered 6 chairs and they have a really high end luxe look. I even have enough left over to probably make an evening dress out of!

This has a lovely soft feel and looks really nice. It doesn't look or feel "cheap" like some crushed velvets out there. As with other velvet fabrics - not the easiest fabric to sew as it is slippery, prepare to use lots of clips and pins! Has a nice stretch but beware not to over stretch when sewing necklines etc... (as I did!). I have it in black too but haven't used it yet.

This fabric is just gorgeous! It is very soft and light but also surprisingly warm and cosy. It also has excellent stretch and recovery. It reflects the light beautifully as you can see in the photo. The only downside is that it is slippery to sew - lots of pins or clips needed. I absolutely love the finished garment.
