100% Cotton Waffle Fabric - Available now at the UK's lowest price!

Waffle fabric is a woven fabric that has a recessed pattern created by cords running vertically and horizontally which creates a square design (hence the name waffle). Waffle fabric is woven in a way that makes it very absorbent, but it also allows air to flow through so it dries quickly. Waffle fabric, sometimes also called honeycomb fabric is ideal for a range of garments such as towels, aprons, robes, slippers etc.

Lovely fabric working on Christmas gifts at the moment

Although it frays a little it’s a beautiful material and didn’t stretch

Great service, will be reordering soon ❤️

Nice to work with

Simplicity 1563, dressing gowns and PJs is a great pattern for this fabric! 3 metres is needed for the robes. It does shrink when tumble dried. My robe is a size S. The waffle fabric frays a lot but once overlocked it is more controllable. Although I worried about thick layers, it sewed up really well and the finished item is really good

Simplicity 1563, dressing gowns and PJs is a great pattern for this fabric! 3 metres is needed for the robes. My husband has a size M. The waffle fabric frays a lot but once overlocked it is more controllable. This navy colourway shed bits everywhere before I overlocked round all the pattern pieces. After that although I worried about thick layers, it sewed up really well and the finished item is really good

A little heavier than expected but good quality.

Im in the middle of making a bathrobe with this at the moment. It's lovely to sew but it frays a lot. Once overlocked it is fine.

Made a set of pot towels from this lovely black cotton waffle by special request from my sister for her new kitchen. She was so pleased with them

❤️

Lovely waffle Fabric. Easy to Sew. Washes well. Seems to hold its shape too. Made different size tea towels and cloths for my nephews for Christmas as requested!

Just a little thinner than I was expecting, making a dressing gown all cut out and ready to sew. Will be using overlocker as fraying a little

Great fabric and great price too. Will re -order

Initially disappointed as tried to dye it and it didn't take the dye, which led me to think it might not be 100% cotton. But it sewed up very well. It's very bouncy and I topstitched all my seams down. But happy with the overall result!

Lovely fabric, washed well, nice to sew, great price

I made my husband the grey waffle dressing gown to fit which he thoroughly loved and was easy to use Made the dress for a friends baby girl and still awaiting to give the dungarees away. The cotton material was so lovely to use and the results were great. Have ordered more material to do some more makes!

Easy to sew and lovely quality. Would definitely buy again.

This fabric made a summer kaftan dressing gown to slip on whilst on holiday in my campervan, and not looking too much like a dressing gown. Also suitable to sit outside without the need to always be dressed

Made guest hand towels, lovely fabric, easy to sew, excellent value.

Ideal fabric for bibs

Very happy with my new house coat/dressing gown. It washed and tumble dried well, easy to sew, frays a little, but used the overlocker for most of it.

Made 4 towels for Christmas presents, mitred corners and decorative topstitch makes them a great present.

Bought a metre which made 4 good sized hand towels. Mitred corners and a decorative topstitch to finish.

So soft and verstile. I have made tea cloths , oven gloves, oven gauntlets, heat pads…… all for gifting .

I have wanted a cotton waffle dressing gown for a while, when I saw this fabric at such a great price I couldn't resist. When it arrived, I was surprised at the thickness and quality of the fabric. The finished garment is not perfect, but I am very pleased with it.

I didn't like this fabric at first. It seemed to be too thin for my project but I made a bath rope with it anyway and I love the result! It absorbs water just like good towel. Highly recommended!

This waffle cotton was perfect for my spa style winter robe. It can have a tendency to stretch when sewing but plenty of pins and taking it slowly helps. I'm very pleased with the final outcome

Lovely fabric to work with, only lost one star because it frayed quite a lot . Very pleased with the dressing gown. Sorry for the dogs tail, she likes to be in pictures 😃 it looks big but that's deliberate so it has a big wrap to snuggle in to.

Beautiful material but frays easily. I used French seams

Great value for money, I really enjoyed working with the material. It was not bulky , which made it easy to sew and l am very happy with the finished garment.

Used the white cotton waffle to line this baby sleeping bag. I wanted something highly breathable, insulating and also absorbant (in the event of accidents) and it has performed exactly as desired. It does fray an awful lot, which made hemming tricky but next time I will seal the edges with a overlocker first so that should sort it out.

Loved this fabric made a babies dressing gown and lined it with the bamboo towelling. Hope to order more to make one for myself!

Bought the navy and taupe waffle cotton to make a cooler season dressing gown for my father’s 90th birthday. It was a good weight and so easy to work with given the natural lines in the material.

Lovely fabric, it did shed quite a bit but overlocker had no problem with it. Pleased with my new dressing gown.

This is a lovely soft waffle fabric which produces a beautiful finished result which washes beautifully and needs limited ironing. It does fray, so needs to be finished either with overcasting, flat fell/French seaming or binding. It's excellent value and is a very wide fabric which was great as I needed to cut some very wide pieces. It's worth cutting out single pieces, (not doubled up) to ensure that the grid lines remain straight.

I used this for the absorbant side of these burp cloths and tinkle tents for my friends daughter who has just had a baby boy. The patterned cotton is from pound fabrics too

Made this robe as a gift. Nice fabric to work with and pre washed and tumble dried well.

Love this fabric and it teams well with the double gauze to make this blanket

This is my first attempt at making an item of clothing. I made a bathrobe using the light blue. I am over the moon with it! It was easy to sew and made up looks crisp and fresh. It is a delight to wear.

Superb Boucle fabric. Colour just as expected! It’s made a lovely Bianca coat for my friends birthday.
