I always buy these in various colours with every order of fabric, just in case i will make something that needs a little bit of a stretch in the neckline.
This made making a hoody much easier as I must have used nearly the whole 3m for a 3-4y size. You can see from the photo that the colour match to the loop back jersey was great. I used gutermann easy sew colour 984 which was a pretty good match.
I usually buy the cotton bias binding tape and I ordered this by mistake. It was a happy accident because I’ve found this worked a lot better with the little bit of stretch when I was using bias to neaten and strengthen curved seams on a panelled jacket. So I’d definitely use it again for similar sewing projects.
I bought three packs of the tape in different colours but in error because I thought I’d selected the cotton non stretchy binding. What a happy accident 😍. I’ve used all three colours on various projects and I’ll definitely buy again. I like the flexibility of this tape and I’ve used it on different types of fabric - in this photo on a thin canvas type fabric.
This is a jeans jacket that I’ve had for donkeys years. It’s faded and the cuffs are worn. I’ve been meaning to do something about for such a long time. So this week I’ve tried various ideas out and after much trial and error this is the final result. The cuffs have been completely cut off. I’ve put the stretchy binding tape on the inside of ‘new’ sleeve wrists and covered the outside with tartan. The little bit of stretch made it easy to get into place and its strong enough to give a good backing to the tartan ribbon.
Nice bias tape. It’s quite stretchy and I’ve used it on t- shirts but in this case I used it as a strip on my black wide leg trousers, where it worked nicely.

Royal matched really well with the jumpsuit fabric (stardust glow fabric) it gave it a ‘pop’ instead of the navy I’d also ordered fir choice
It’s a lovely and soft bias binding tape. I used it for a T-shirt, not sure if it was the right choice though, as it got quite stretched out. New sewer here, so still learning.
Matches the ‘army green’ French Terry perfectly. My mother has been a seamstress for 60 years and thought I’d made my own bias binding. Very good match.
