This gorgeous plain medium weight pre washed denim fabric is ideal for so many dressmaking projects including trousers, skirts, dungarees, dungaree style dresses and so much more!
Please note that due to the nature of the bleaching process with washed denim fabric, the colours vary considerably on each batch. We would recommend ordering enough for your project as we cannot guarantee you will receive the same shade if placing separate orders.

Love this denim fabric. Good solid weight, but still light enough to create this denim dungaree dress!
I was worried that the gathers would make it too bulky to sew, but all good!👍🏼
This denim is great quality and handles beautifully. It's prewashed, but I washed it again before cutting out, to be sure of minimising any further shrinkage. It irons well. The Paisley cotton trim on the neck, cuffs and pockets has been in my stash for at least seven years. I enjoyed this make, and am very pleased with it. The pattern is Style Arc Mary Shift.
Using the material to cover panels destined to be fitted into a 70s themed van. I didn't want to use a too stretchy material as it could make the weave curve. Also needed to be thick enough to stop adhesive bleed through. The image is my first panel/attempt and it has worked out just fine. Only 6 more to do.
Material to me seems a very good quality and the service and delivery excellent.
I used this denim to make a Closet Core Tote. Easy to work with and looks great. Some parts of the bag involve sewing through 4 layers which wasn’t an Issue at all. Lovely fabric to work with; will buy again.
Lovely quality fabric. Great to sew and has just enough body to make clothes comfortable and uncreased. Would recommend and buy again. Made a pair of trousers and shorts out of the 2 metres, both with pockets.
This is my extra long pottery apron.
I made the pattern myself and lined the bib with a piece of cotton remnant from my stash.
This denim was a perfect weight for the job and very easy to sew.

This denim is ideal for making dresses. I made the Nepeta dress, which was in issue 14 of Tauko magazine. Photo doesn't really do it justice for either the fabric or pattern.
The denim fabric is easy to work with and has worked well as a light weight pair of denim trousers.
The material has washed well and is comfortable to wear.
Nicely weighted fabric which sews up well. Washes without shrinkage. Not premium quality- there’s a few white flecks - but also not premium quality price.
Sadly the selvage had some cut marks in it in several places which made placement of the pattern fiddly (TAL apron dress). Fortunately I had room to spare so managed to work it out. I’ve had multiple orders from Pound Fabrics without this issue so it could just be a problem which happened in manufacture.
The fabric is great very good quality. I had earlier used the darker shade to make a broiler suit which I used to travel and it stood the stress of airports too and fro amazing! Got another shade for another denim project. Must say it is quite light weight so might need interfacing for some projects.
Made a top for my brother who is an artist . This is just the right material , not too heavy but should be hard wearing and just suit the job. Thank you once again for the quick delivery and lovely denim .
