This double gauze is lovely quality and is easy to sew. I made the carnation blouse by Fabric Godmother which involves quite a lot of gathering which I was worried about in double gauze, but this fabric was not a problem at all. I love my finished blouse.
Absolutely love this double gauze. Perfect for my baby grandsons romper. Such a lovely design as its so hard to find a nice print for little boys. Washed and sewed up nicely.
This flat double gauze is easier to cut and sew than the crinkly type, but still requires overcasting of seams to prevent fraying. I used a light sew-in interfacing for the front facings and collar which gave it stability and support for the buttonholes. I'm still deciding whether the collar needs top stitching for a better finish. Pattern: McCalls 6197 changed to have long sleeves.
Bought this when it was on sale, never sewn with double gauze so I wanted make a test piece before I plumped for a full price fabric. Looks like it would be easy to sew with but time will tell.
