Great product. Used to make the backing for a Roman blind and to make window covers in the conservatory to block out the sun and reduce the heat. Works brilliantly!
Fabric to the left is ivory bought 3 years ago, fabric on the right a couple of months ago only slight colour change with age in those years!
I had some ready made curtains but they didn’t keep out the light so I bought some blackout material and created another lining layer.
The lining material was good quality and very easy to work with and, most importantly, the lining has been dramatically effective!
This blackout lining is of excellent quality.
Because my curtains had the metal holes I attached the lining just underneath and it has worked a treat.
I used a fine needle which worked fine.
I would recommend this product.
It definitely blocks light which is awesome. It will make great curtain lining. Do not buy it for a project than needs a lot of stitching such as quilting because the holes remain and will reduce it’s ability to block light.
Fantastic fabric to work with, it was easy to sew. I made blackout curtains for a 6m x 4m marquee covered roof, sides and gable ends. It kept the marquee dark and and the heat in. I will be buying again to line my curtains at home. Thank you.
What a difference the extra blackout lining has made to the curtains in our spare bedroom! Photo shows with lining on the right, without on the left. I found this fabric easy to cut and sew with, looking forward to finishing the curtains in this room and have ordered more already!
I've made new curtains for my grandsons bedrooms ready for them moving into their new house. The lining is so easy to work with and I added it to the curtains effectively during making.
I'm so pleased with the results. It looks like a part of the curtains and not at all bulky. Perfect!
I ordered 10 metres to see what difference it made. I added heading tape the lining and attached it to the curtain track.
It's lovely fabric, easy to handle and to cut. I was so impressed by the difference it made to the sunniest windows that I ordered another 25 metres for the rest of the windows. Wish I had known about this years ago. I chose the white reverse and I am very pleased with it.
I was so surprised the difference that this lining made. I first ordered 10 metres and then ordered another 25, to add this lining to my lined curtains. It's easy to cut, completely blocks out the sunshine and was easy to attach to the curtains. I machined heading tape to the lining. I now have all of the curtains lined with this lining. I wish I had known about it before. The picture shows the difference the lining made when I hung it behind and the difference without it with the sunshine. The lining cuts out all the sunshine at a south facing window.
Good quality light weight blackout lining. I used it with light coloured curtain fabric and it did the job and when curtains pulled still dark inside the room. Would recommend.
I bought dark blue, and white for the curtains in two different rooms. I haven't had time to use the white as yet but, I just hooked up an end of the roll to give an idea of how effective it is at blocking the light. It was a gloomy afternoon in an unlit room but does show that the white is pretty good! I'm very happy with this fabric, as I was with the blue; see the photos of the blue curtains hanging up in daylight. Its very nice to use and handle. It added a quality look to the way the blue curtains hang so, I know the lighter ones will be good too.
This blackout curtain lining was lovely to work with. It was a good weight and a nice quality. I used it to make a blackout sheet for my neighbours bathroom window as the heat streaming in was unbearable. I teamed it with the tiny blossom polycotton fabric (3m Pre-cut), this fabric was also lovely to work with.
Fabric arrived with blue lines on it! I didn't inspect within 3 days of delivery (per policy) so am stuck with it unfortunately. First time I ordered this it was fine but this batch has 3 areas of blue on it. Won't be ordering again
Lovely to work with. It does block the light out extremely effectively. The colour matches the main colour in the pattern of the curtains, I put the white side against the curtains so that it doesn't flash with white when opening and closing. Very nice and I'm very pleased!
Used to line curtains also made with pound fabrics material. Really happy with this product and looking forward to seeing how these work in the summer months!
This fabric did a fantastic job for us. We had some voile curtains that we wanted to transform into something substantial to enable guests to use the room as a bedroom. Attached the blackout lining with the charcoal side facing into the room and ended up with a really luxe two-layered effect. Cost a total of £50 for the project. Delighted.
Perfect lining for my triple pinch pleat curtains. Each one was 5 metres wide and I was able to use the lining in one piece across the whole width which saved alot of time. (Curtains were shorter than the width of the lining). Would definitely buy more for my next curtain project.
I used it to line a roman blind. You can't directly see it here, but it was great for giving the blind structure and for keeping the bedroom dark in the morning.
Purchased to replace thinner lining in the hope that it will keep the room warmer next winter, and darker during the summer. Always a great service. Thank you
Thick lining but easy to sew into the curtains. Due to it's slight rubbery texture the needle will leave holes in the fabric so needs to be sewn with this in mind. Great for interlinking though.
