This medium to light weight 100% polyester quality crushed velvet velour fabric features a stretch in one direction and is available in an array of gorgeous colours. Our crushed velvet fabric is flexible, easy to work with and can be used for dresses, cushions, crafts, soft furnishings, theatre and much more!

I made a giant beanbag with this lovely crushed velvet. I lined each panel so it didn't stretch and poured in the beans. Worked out just as I imagined. It matches my sewing room wallpaper perfectly 😀

Used the gold crushed velvet for the tabard part of a Roman gladiator costume. Material was quite stretchy so sewn with maraflex thread. Pleased with finished costume. Lovely material .
Lovely fabric used with the brown burnout fabric for kimono. Abit messy to cut and work with. Definitely need to give the machine a good clean after sewing!

A nice fabric which I used to edge a children’s dressing gown pattern to make a mini mayoral robe for dressing up for when groups visit our local town hall.
This was a mini dress from Shein which was too short so I added two metres of brown crushed velvet as a skirt to wear it at Christmas for my choir concert. Everyone admired it and was surprised when I said I made it. I think I will have to tell them where I shop now. ❤️
My niece asked for help with a Halloween costume & this fabric was the perfect choice. Very slippery but I found the use of starch helped control it from rolling. Fabulous drape & stretch. Love it!
I made a tablecloth for Christmas with this and wish I’d never bought it. Having never worked with crushed velvet before (being an absolute beginner) I didn’t realise it would stretch the way it did. 9 times one side got unpicked. However after changing to a walking foot and several attempts and throwing it in the bin - it looks good enough to hand over.
I am very disappointed as there are holes in the fabric and I have just had to lose almost 2mts because of them. Attached is a photo of one of them and the gold also has a couple of which I have had to repair. Otherwise the fabric itself is okay.
