Lovely material soft and flowing Used pattern B6554
A lovely fabric which drapes beautifully. It's perfect for clothing in warmer weather. I pre-washed it and there was no noticeable shrinkage; easy to iron and doesn't crease too much. It does fray, so I overlocked the edges, but it is fine enough to use French seams.
Beautiful fabric and the design is just what I was looking for - perfect for a lovely summer dress. Having used this type of fabric previously I used my quilting cutter rather than scissors to cut it out. This makes life so much easier!

Lovely fabric. I've made this loose dress for my holidays abroad. Only downfall is it frays quite easily. The photos don't do it justice as it needs a good press!
This is beautiful fabric with a lovely drape, however, it frays a lot so overlocking or zig zagging helps a lot. It hangs beautifully with a lovely drape, I have the navy version as well and it's just as nice. This is the first time I've made anything wearable since schooldays and I'm now 70! I've only ever been any good at making really easy things like curtains, cushions covers and repairs. I keep buying lovely fabrics but don't want to spoil them with my amateurish sewing having no confidence to make the first cut (no classes near where I live so I've had to rely on YouTube) this time I really wanted to make something wearable and it is, it washes and irons really well and looks lovely on. I made loads of mistakes but learned and still learning from them. I really should have chosen an easier fabric to work with (which I can tell you I have plenty of from Pound Fabrics in my stash). I liked this one so much I just couldn't wait to use it. I'm so pleased with this I will now have the confidence to go on and make more clothes. I love seeing what other customers have made which inspires me and hopefully I will be nearly as good as them.
I love the finished top, but boy it wasn't easy to sew. I will avoid viscose challis in future as it frays like mad, is slippy to sew and creases too easily. The upside is that it drapes beautifully and the floral pattern is gorgeous. I will choose something more stable for my next project.
