Made a simple wiggle dress with this dainty patterned cotton ( Mcalls 7085). Fabric is easy to work with and stood up to a 40deg prewash very well with little shrinkage and minor freying. Wouldn’t need lining for children’s dresses but I lined the bodice and sleeves to give the dress more structure.
The fabric is of good quality and I am impatient to use it to make a summer dress, but I cannot start it yet due to lack of time. However all my supplies are ready and I will be starting it soon.
Lovely cotton poplin with a really striking gold floral print on black. I used it to make a lanyard and it was easy to sew, pressed well, and feels comfortable to wear. I’d recommend a light interfacing for extra strength and structure but it gives a really neat and professional finish. Very happy with it

Lovely to work with and launder. Barely any fraying and no colour loss. Bottonholes work nicely too. It feels cool to wear and doesn't crease very much. I wore this on a coach trip and still looked fairly smart when I arrived.
