Gutermann Maraflex Elastic Stretch Thread 150m
A High Quality Gutermann elastic sewing thread with particularly high stretch, for flexible seams using a straight stitch - up 80%.
Ideal for sewing around necklines, tight seams and sleeve and leg cuffs.
Sew with as little thread tension as possible and use as both needle and bobbin thread. Optimal seam elasticity with 4 stitch/cm.
Ideal for closing seams and visible elastic decorative seams
Fabric recommendations: Light to medium-weight knitwear, for example jersey, or light to medium weight elastic woven fabrics and fabrics containing elastane.
Needle recommendations: Jersey/stretch 70/80.

Washing Instructions:
Wash at 60 degrees.

Sewing dance costumes that need stretch, this is perfect.
Great price and best quality thread. I used this thread on this jumper with a straight stitch on a standard domestic machine on this stretch-fleece back French Terry material. I have since washed and worn it every week, and not had any breakage. I would highly recommend using maraflex thread for sewing with knits. I also have a black one and will be buying other colours. Pound Fabric service is quick and very reasonably priced.
I find making jersey items so much easier with Maraflex. It is a lot easier to sew (and unpick) Maraflex sewn with a straight stitch rather than undoing a lightening bolt seam.
It is also helpful for top stitching.
It was delivered very quickly along with navy and black and a linen fabric.
I used the thread to make a jersey dress - you can use a normal straight stitch on sewing machine making it a quick sew. It revolutionises stretch sewing. Good priced item as always from pound fabrics 👍
