Gutermann Natural Cotton Thread 100m
A fine yet strong thread with a silk-like lustre. Perfect for those who prefer to sew with natural fibres. Suitable for hand and machine sewing. This soft and supple thread is light-resistant, tear/abrasion resistant, elastic and extendible, and colour-fast.
It would be great for ornamental stitches, decorative seams, overlock and safety seams, sewing on buttons, and more! Available in 40 colours.
I used the gold thread on this dress - I’d ordered a few different shades and this one worked the best. I always use the Gutermann threads. High quality and great value for money.
When I started to learn to sew I made the mistake of buying a cheap set of threads. False economy because it kept jamming in my new sewing machine. So now I only use Gutermann thread and it’s great quality and perfect to use. I used this colour on my dress.
A fine cotton thread ideal for sinking into embroidered cotton fabric - totally disguised. I like to use cotton thread on white tops so I can dye them in the future without poly thread not taking the dye.
The colour matches the ‘army green’ French Terry quite well, could do with being a little darker. Good quality thread but probably not worth the slightly higher price than other options.
I have not used yet as discovered I can used gutterman sew all just as well and at half the price. My own fault for jumping the gun, will probably use sparingly
There was a wide range of cotton colours to choose from, I selected the yellow and blue to make a surcoat for my husband and a caparison for his horse.
