Hessian (also known as jute or burlap) is a natural woven fabric that is durable and eco-friendly. It has a coarse texture and a rustic appearance, making it popular for a range of craft, home decor, and gardening projects.
Not so easy to work with as the polycotton as it does moult & is very loose.
This is a reversible waistcoat for our drama group at church. Lining is also Pound Fabric - polycotton.

Making table runners and bunting for my daughter’s cake stall. Nice and easy to cut and sew although you do have to oversee the edges so it doesn’t fray.
Honestly I will only ever order fabric from this site. If they don't have it, I don't need it. Always such fast delivery and the quality never fails! If I could give 10 stars instead of 5, I would!
i made a hessian bag, I can put a picture on tomorrow, easy to work with make sure it is in line when you sew or it will wander. but a lovely strong bag I am pleased with it
