This lightweight, plain pre washed denim fabric issoft, malleable and versatile. Ideal for many clothing items including shirts and skirts as well as craft and soft furnishing projects. This fabric is slightly heavier than our chambray denim fabrics.

Please note that due to the nature of the bleaching process with washed denim fabric, the colours vary considerably on each batch. We would recommend ordering enough for your project as we cannot guarantee you will receive the same shade if placing separate orders.

Love the lightweight feel of this denim. Made a longer look dress for a friend. Hoping to get photos of her in it, as the dummy isn’t quite a perfect fit! Need to stretch out the seams as you see to help to prevent any puckering. Also made a longer look, more flared skirt and I created a weighted hem to give the fabric some much needed weight on the longer skirt!
Great fabric. Perfect for a pair of light weight shorts especially in this hot weather. I washed before use (as I always do) and no colour has transferred once wearing them.

Although it took me 2 years to get around to sewing with - this denim is a great material to sew - lightweight but not flimsy - hangs nicely and with my left over tana lawn made a flouncy sort of cow-girl dress for my great niece! Used the dark blue as a contrast to the flowery lawn.
Absolutely love this light denim fabric. Here in a lengthened version of the Tilly Buttons Safiya trousers. The fabric is a lovely weight and pleasant to sew. I’ve also made a Tilly Luella skirt with it.

The fabric is a lot lighter in weight and colour than I had anticipated; the colour in my snap being more indicative. It’s nice and easy to sew with for a beginner and very lightweight to wear. Very good for summer clothes, not see-through but not quite heavy enough for what I really had in mind.
