Bargain fabric 2026 summer has demanded more sundresses so I made a simple sundress with pockets. It was easy to sew and a good base on trend for my ricrac. Glad I took the risk.
I purchased this textured pale pink cotton on clearance. It’s really lovely and very similar to a cotton I have bought previously in a well known fabric shop but at a much higher price
This photo doesn’t show the grey colour very well but does show the texture well. This is a nice weight for shorts/trousers. Slightly rough feel, as other reviewers have mentioned. Looking forward to using it.
The fabric colour is how I expected and is easy to sew with a little fraying but not too much. It does have a look of linen but is a little thicker and heavier than linen with a little creasing but no stretching like linen. Very good value for money and quick delivery.I made a very simple sun dress for my holiday in Spain later this year.
No photo this time. I ordered this fabric as it looked like the pink colour was a good one. Unfortunately the colour was a bit more salmon pink than I expected. It wasn’t going to work on my body, so it has gone to Ufton Court stocks, hopefully will make a beautiful period dress for one of the staff members to wear in their historical activities for schools!
Fabric has a heavy, natural feel with a slight crinkle texture and would work as a Saxon style outfit!😀
