This wool is amazing value! I used it to make a cloak for Empire LARP and it was the perfect weight and colour. It's extremely scratchy as you'd expect from budget 100% wool, so in my opinion it really needs a lining. It also kept me very warm in the evenings, so 10/10!
Made the Tessuti Berlin coat from my lovely boiled wool fabric. The fabric is lovely and cosy and is a great match for this pattern. I just need spring to hurry up now :) I’ll definitely be back for more as I need more than one colour now 😍😍
I have made another Brooklyn coat for my sister for Christmas as she loves mine (see previous review in camel)
This is a really enjoyable coat to make & it looks great, my sister willbe chuffed
Have not made it up yet but this is what I am planning.
Thought I had ordered the ochre, but the camel colour is gorgeous and Iwill probably get more wear out of it.
Really beautiful quality and I cant wait to sew it!!
Quite a few ladies at my sewing group are making this coat. It’s the Tessuti Brooklyn coat, S/M.
The fabric is lovely to work with & as it doesn’t fray, it’s ideal for this coat.
Love this fabric and the rich red colour. Perfect fabric for the Verona jacket . First time sewing wool fabric, I read all the advice before starting the jacket and no problem. Thank you pound fabric once again .
I haven’t made it myself yet but looking forward to making the the Sew Me Something Bianca coat as shown in the photo. Really lovely and excellent quality fabric. Would definitely buy again.
This dark grey 110% boiled wool fabric is ideal for coatmaking. I used it to make the Florence Coat pattern by Tessuti and I'm so happy with how it turned out. The fabric provides excellent warmth while remaining surprisingly manageable under the sewing machine. Perfect weight for moderately structured coats and jackets but still has some drape. Worth every penny for a quality winter garment.
This was an experiment for me as I'd never sewn with boiled wool before! I wanted to make myself a simple 'chore style' jacket for chillier weather and this fabric seemed to be a good option. I lined it with anti-static lining and the result is great - really comfy and cosy!
I did a little research before starting the project and discovered a 'walking foot' is a good idea for sewing boiled wool. It coped well with the thickness of the fabric and nothing wandered!! Very pleased.
Loved the fabric. Great price. It cut and made up well. Never used it before so the sewing process was interesting. Finished Tessuti Berlin coat looks amazing and is warm to wear. Will definitely make another one in another colour.
