I bought this beautiful silk to make silk roses with and it works beautifully and is such great value
The colour was easy on the eye for making an entrance socially. It stands the test of time. I had to sew the edges in small sections due to it fraying, kept the longer frayed strands incase I needed it for any hand sewing especially embroidery knots. The thinner Gutermann silk thread was a good match for stitching to lines. The slub has bits of wood in and the texture has body, it goes where you want it and holds that position yet amazingly thin and light weight.
This fabric is beautiful but unfortunately I have not used it yet as it was unexpectedly not needed. Pound fabrics were excellent and delivery was fast
This is quality silk with a pronounced slub and a good shine. It will be the underlining for a lace jacket which in turn is part of a wedding outfit with a matching georgette skirt. It is quality fabric and an exceptionally competitive price. I'm very happy with it.
Bought the duck egg silk Dupion and the gold for a crafting project. Absolutely beautiful fabrics, described as lightweight but I would say is slightly heavier than that. It would be perfect for bridal wear and formal outfits, or a summer jacket. Both colours are beautiful. All this for half the price it normally is elsewhere - I'm absolutely delighted. In fact, I've been delighted with everything I've bought from Pound Fabrics!
I have been delighted with this fabric, as it has enabled me to make two new “backs” for favourite cushions whose silk backs had worn into holes. The colour is a good match, and the quality of the fabric is great.
