A lovely viscose fabric which features a linen slub effect. This gives the fabric a genuine linen look and feel. Made from high-quality viscose fibres, this fabric drapes beautifully and has a smooth feel against the skin. Available in 21 colours
Please note this is a woven fabric. Despite it having 3% elastane, this fabric only has a slight give in one direction and does not stretch.
Our Plain Linen is available in colours: Burgundy, Light Beige, Dark Green, Navy, Mustard, Mint, Ivory, Black, Pale Duck Egg, Pink, Terracotta, Royal Blue, Copen Blue, Dark Rose, Lilac, Caramel Brown, Light Pink, Light Blue, Mauve, Fuchsia Pink, Red
This fabric has a minimum order quantity of 2 metres.

My photo doesn't show the true colour.. it is a lovely burnt orangy red. Washed, tumble dryed, & ready to cut. Plan to make a summer shacket.

Lovely soft and drapey fabric. Made the Maison Fauve Tilda blouse with short sleeves. Looking forward to wearing it in the better weather. Order arrived quickly and was great value.

Really pleased with this fabric and such good value! Made a pair of shorts using the Plain Linen Look Viscose fabric which comes in a wide range of colours and on this occasion I chose the Dark Rose. Fabric is light and airy, drapes well and is lovely to wear - ideal for the hot weather we are having at the moment. Does fray a little but French seaming helped with this.

Love this fabric for a shirt blouse, have made up a forest green one and the duck egg from PF, will pop some pics on when I've done the ironing, does fray but overlooking it does the trick, duck egg 2nd top in the making pictured . Ty Pf happy customer as always

Nice true black. Lightweight with drape but not see through. It frays a lot after washing though.

Lovely soft, drapey fabric. It frays, so needs overlocking but feels very nice to wear.

Great fabric to work with and a lovely soft linen feel. Perfect for these wide leg trousers.

Great material 👍

The cream was a little bit see through so I flat-lined these trousers. Mine were the Style Arc Barry pants and hubbus were a linen pants pattern from Etsy

Lovely fabric, a little tricky to work as very slippery but most viscose is. Just very see through. Have bought some long briefs to go under the trousers I have made. Very pleased with the end result. Sorry for the upside down picture

Having made this skirt successfully in PF burgundy viscose I plan to make another in the light blue version for summer. Great value fabric, especially for soft, floaty garments.

I made the Winslow culottes and Atlas top made by Adele on episode 2 of the sewing Bee. This fabric was a dream to work with x

This fabric is great. It's lightweight and washes well. I used both my hand crank sewing machine and overlocker with this top and both worked really smoothly with this fabric. Another great buy.

Great value. Bought to make a toile for a complicated skirt pattern ( the Gathered Skirt by Habibe Acikgoz of Habibe London) Worked well, but, if I decide to wear, it will definitely need an underskirt. Now to make the skirt in something a little more suitable, probably PF washed linen.

A lovely pale greeny blue, frays but manageable. Gorgeous texture and drape

Wanted some cheap, dark fabric for a quick and dirty summer gardening dress. This fit the bill perfectly! It's got a light feel, doesn't rip and is a colour which won't show the dirt. Made the dress in the morning, wore it in the afternoon. 7 pockets plus loops to hang stuff on.

Not so happy with this fabric as it creases badly. Made for Christmas 2025 and the design and colour made me look like i was in a church choir- win some , lose some

Light to wear and doesn’t crease much. Flows beautifully.

I absolutely this colour (dark rose) and received so many compliments re. the shade. It was nice to sew but unfortunately I feel it lost its shape as I worked with it. The final product also frayed in places after washing so I would ensure a larger seam allowance in case that had something to do with it. I like the final result but probably wouldn't purchase it again.

Lovely material, very delicate and frays easily but makes up beautifully. My pattern is N6728 I just got the hem to do on this I made for my granddaughter. It needs ironing as well. Will update final result. Very pleased with result

This popover top has worked out well. I washed the fabric in a net bag before I started. It’s quite lightweight, and frays very easily, so I used iron on interfacing before I cut the collar stand and cuffs, then zigzagged hemming edges, and over locked all seams. The top now been washed several times, so far so good! Excellent value

The material gives a lovely drape to the dress and was easy to work with. I didn't realise, when I bought it, that there was some stretch but it didn't seem to effect the way the fabric sewed up. Pound Fabrics were extremely helpful in picking the right thread for the fabric. I would highly recommend this company

I am new to sewing and found this fabric a bit tricky as it was very soft and the pins would fall out. However is has a lovely drape and I am pleased with the result.

A little more transparent than I would of liked but the feel and drape is lovely.

This is a lovely soft fabric and a beautiful rich colour. I didn't know what to expect and I'm glad to say it exceeded my expectations.

Pleased with this now it’s done. It didn’t fray as much as I expected and it’s good value. The fabric is a bit slippy so difficult to cut a straight line.

Im really loving this fabric. It feels nice and soft, and it doesn’t crease too much. I’m just working on a top from it. The colour is amazing!
