Great fabric for making polo shirts, thick and good quality. The only problem is, both my sewing machine and over locker hated this fabric. I also ordered in blue which was the completed opposite. I don’t understand as they feel so similar but I really struggled to finish the white versions.
When this arrived, it had a very strange smell to it! I washed it 40 degree cotton wash, still smells a bit, it also shrunk, which is to be expected with cotton jersey. Has a very good weight to it. Sewed beautifully. Made loose pair of trousers and with the left over, front of a skirt (used plain sage linen for the back)
Bought this is 2 colours, and have sewn up one, it's amazing! Sews well, washes well and makes fabulous polo tops! Any mistakes are due to my sewing inabilities, not the fabric :-)
So much better than expected. Lovely soft drape but strong enough to cope with a bit of pulling about. Used it to cover a dress form (& went straight back and ordered some more)
Very good value cotton pique. Used for making polo shirts for husband. Initially thought it might be a bit too lightweight but it was perfect. This is the first one I made. Bought it in three other colours as it worked so well so have some more to make.
It’s a sort of polo shirt fabric in nice sharp black. I’ve just washed it with another black fabric I bought and it hangs well. I think a top or something like that is what it’s most suited to or possibly a polo dress. Pity there aren’t other colours.
I quite liked this fabric, although it is a heavier quality jersey and seams ended up quite thick in places. This is the Sombrio Polo by Thread Theory, but some aspects of the pattern make me not want to try this again.
Nice material but has a lot of stretch to it!, and whilst it did hold its shape well, during washing I did notice it shrank somewhat.
Whilst it's easy to work with, I may pay a little more next time to ensure it doesn't shrink as much.
Overall, as usual, happy enough with the.product.
Surprisingly thick and excellent quality with no shrinkage after washing - amazing for the price. Have made my husband a shirt and wish Primark would use this quality than the thin stuff they sell. Thanks PF for another success
I used this pique fabric to make a polo shirt for my husband. I found it easy to work with and it turned out reasonably well. Perfect fabric for this project.
This fabric is OK. I don't know if it was me but this is the first fabric in years which I didn't get on with. I used a ballpoint needle but found that small ladders seemed to appear in areas where I didn't want them. I was doing a new/unfamiliar pattern and I had to unpick more than normal. I found this material not very forgiving when having to unpick. I don't want to give a negative review but I just did not get on with it.
This cotton pique was perfect for making a polo shirt for my husband. Great quality and value, and I was very pleased with the end result. I also bought the dark navy and sky blue colours, to make him some more polo shirts
This fabric was so easy to sew. Not much stretch as the normal PF jersey.
This fabric would make great polo shirts. I also bought it in white. Think I will size up for next one due to it not having as much stretch. Great value. x
