This high quality, medium weight ponte roma fabric is available in a range of colours. This would be suitable for a range of dress making projects. Ponte Roma is a double knit jersey - it is thicker than single jersey fabrics and also has less stretch.

This is the second lot of ponte roma I have bought. I made up the Tessuti Tokyo jacket to go with a dress for an April wedding. The ponte was not a recommended fabric for this jacket but made up well. Not much fraying and did not ladder if unpicked. A very nice material.
Simple sew cocoon dress made in pound fabrics ponte. It was an easy fabric to work with and feels lovely to wear. I’m really pleased with the fabric and will probably buy again in different colour
Made this black skirt end of winter and lined it for extra warmth. Love ponte roma easy to cut and sew and so comfy to wear. Have today ordered two more colours ready for dresses for autumn winter wear.

I made the Bridget Trouser pattern from Love Notions, which is designed for Ponte fabric.
The fabric was easy to work with (even to unpick) and worked well on my overlocker and with the buttonhole foot, too. It drapes well but has a good structure for trousers. I will be ordering more in the future.
Used this fabric in Twig and Tale's Men's Shore Pants to make lounge wear and it stitched up beautifully.
Added welt zipped pockets.
Will be on the lookout for more colours.
I made this Jefferson costume and my granddaughter wore when she went to the show last month. I used Ponte for the trousers, plain suiting for the jacket and plain velvet for the waistcoat - all from Pound fabrics . The price meant that I could afford to make this - just because I can! 😀
This fabric arrived very quickly and well packaged. It is exactly as described and very easy to work with. I'm making a skirt (unfinished in the photo). Excellent value as always
I have just discovered ponte Roma fabric and I love it. It has a good weight and lovely drape. I made a pair of elasticated trousers which I am very pleased with because they do not go baggy at the knees quickly like others that I have had. I shall be buying more in other colours.
