Bought to make a red cape for a school play, great value, easy to sew.
I made this jacket to complete an outfit for an event. It arrived really quickly which was a godsend and the matching thread was perfect. The fabric was lovely to cut and sew with, it had a great hand and wears really well.
Making this project was a delight from ordering the fabric to completing the garment. The lining was great quality and easy to sew when pinned . It gave the final garment a perfect look and style.
Lovely material. I used it for my first ever sewing project; a skirt and corset for my daughter’s carnival outfit. To stop any puckering when sewing I found it helpful to sew paper into the seam, which I later removed.
The fabric is good quality and a nice weight. Sadly the taupe colour is nothing like the image on the screen. I expected it to be slightly different as it has a reflection but this one was much darker. I took pictures against different backgrounds and lighting and it is most like the darkest.
Great fabric. I used as a lining to this dress (the fabric is matt on one side and satin on the other side). I used the matt side for the piping and had the satin side against my skin for the lining. Great quality, thinking of buying more to make a matching jacket

Today I am happy to share with you my latest creation: this is the headpiece for one of the amazing girl from my daughter dance school . I have been given the task to create a headpiece which will complement existing dress for the character dance of Russian princes. The headpiece is based on traditional Russian kokoshnik, it is made primarily by hands with a lot of hand stitching out of deep blue shantung silk with a lot of pearl beads and lace and sparkling rhinestones. The pattern of the headpiece and design of embellishments are my own creation. I gad a lot of fun and great time doing it. Thank you!

I used this to make a 'Six' outfit for a friend's daughter, for her to wear when she goes to see the show. Nice robust fabric, I used it both ways round for contrast in the skirt panels.

I added fusible heavy interfacing and used it as appliqué to this dragon dress-up outfit. Despite the interfacing it did seem to fray if the needle was too close to the edge of the fabric but overall very happy. The finished product looks great.
A great satin that is durable and irons well. I used the matt side for a Snow White costume, skirt. I also had remnants of red and blue, and used the shiny side for the sleeves. Nice fabric to work with
This fabric is lovely to sew with and is heavier than the other satin from Pound Fabrics. A bit easier to sew with and is warmer than the other satin fabrics I’ve bought from Pound Fabrics. Good quality and luxurious.
I had to make up a pattern for a Sleeping Beauty in pink but at least Pound Fabrics came through with reasonably priced satin to make it from. The fabric is lovely and so easy to sew.
I actually used the inside of the fabric for the dress and the shiny part for the ruffles. It frays quite a bit so it is necessary to use a serger to make sure your final product looks nice.
Copied a Julio Cesar dress by altering Vogue V1845, the original was in silk, so used the Shantung Satin in reverse! Despite all the pleats and French seams, it sewed up really well, with a new sharp needle and polyester thread. Very happy with the result😁
Made this Prom dress for my 15yr old. Material is hard wearing, pretty easy to sew with. Looks kinda expensive but isn’t. And it has pockets! 😅 Would recommend.
Made this jumpsuit for year 11 Prom. I like the fabric as it looks super shiny but it doesn’t actually feel that quite so shiny. Quite easy to sew with but obviously fraying has to be reigned in. Amazing value for money - looks expensive but isn’t. Would recommend. Lined the bodice with plain cotton.
