Used on buttonhole on the left but not on right . Button hole frayed less with this product and will definitely use again !
It tried uploading a photo but it doesn't appear to work, which is a shame as I would have loved to share what I made.
My patience paid off and my photo uploaded. Fray check is so useful when making small items as the seam allowance is small and you can't have too much bulk.
Use this for my button holes. Put a little on each side of the fabric (inside the sewing buttonhole), let it dry and then cut with a buttonhole chisel. Excellent a reducing fraying and lasts a long time.
This product is excellent for flipping onto a littlebsrea you predict might fray for eg Button holes or an area you've accidentally clipped too close to the seam it's definitely worth keeping some at hand in your sewing room.
I needed to extend two buttonholes. This stopped the fabric from fraying. My mum repaired a hole in a cotton top and the seam of a dress. She used it to prevent fraying. Does exactly what it says.
This is the only fray check I use. I have tried a couple of others and they are absolute rubbish in comparison - usually PVA based so they are gloopy, dry a little stiff and above all show and not a good result if you are trying to give a little extra stability to a fine silk or similar. Prym is clear, soft and pliable, and above all is just about invisible. The best as far as I am concerned.
Does the job. Used it for around a plastic popper on a bib. It's my first sewing project so I'm not sure if I used it as best as I could have but it definitely helps me feel like pulling the popper open isn't stretching/damaging the fabric (the popper is very tight so requires my nails or a firm pull)

I’m also way less anxious about hand sewn buttons now I can dab a little of this on and know they’ll be fixed in place for a while. Great peace of mind for making kids clothes
