A brushed cotton fabric (also known as winceyette or flannel fabric) featuring a tartan/checkered design. Suitable for pyjamas, trousers, tops, gowns and more!
A lovely soft fabric but not the easiest to work with. It is a very loose weave, so hard to unpick, and although it's not stretchy, there is a lot of fabric shift/movement. This caused me problems with trying to line up the obvious pattern. However, now it is finished I love the final product and the dress has had a lot of compliments.
Disappointed with this fabric. For a brushed cotton it is very thin and the colour looks washed out. I have always been very pleased with Pound fabrics before.
I love this brushed cotton fabric. It's cosy, wears and washes well and is easy to sew. I suddenly knew I wanted a red tartan dress for Christmas, ordered the fabric and received it a couple of days later. Very pleased, as always, with my PF purchases
Apart from the fact I messed up on the pattern matching-right in the front 😱-the fabric was a joy to work with! Am sure my 5 year old grandson won’t notice Granny’s mistake!
Tartan brushed cotton lovely soft fabric easy to sew made pinafore dress for my great grandchild age 3 going to make another for her younger sister such a reasonable price. Made t shirt for under the dress from stretch jersey I had from a stretch bundle I purchased earlier from pf and enough to make 2 small t shirts
This brushed cotton tartan is a lighter weight than I was expecting but that is not a negative! For me, there was only one thing that I wanted to use this for and that was some winter pj’s. So lovely, so soft, so cosy - really pleased with the quality.
This brushed cotton is super cosy and soft! I made an Indigo dress (by Tilly and the Buttons) and it’s definitely secret pyjamas in this fabric. Super Christmassy and super comfy, perfect for my Christmas dress! Some bits of thread do pull a little from the fabric once it’s cut, and it’s not the thickest fabric, but it’s lovely and drapey. Would definitely recommend!
Made a great pair of pyjamas with this. It’s not quite as thick and warm as I would’ve liked but actually that’s pretty good for spring and autumn too!
Lightweight (not really what I'd call a brushed cotton, but really nice none the less). The skirt is made from red scuba also bought on here. I lined the cape with basic red cotton bought on here too. The perfect Christmas outfit - and you really can't fault the price :)
This red tartan fabric is very slightly brushed and quite light weight so will be brilliant for a dressing gown for my holiday abroad. Didn’t want anything too heavy due to airline weight allowance and also depending on what time of year it is the temperature can be a bit chilly in the mornings. My other dressing gowns are cotton and I’ve found them to be too light so this fabric should hopefully be spot on.
The fabric arrived rather late as the courier lost it. They did tuck it in the shed when it was delivered I had no information about when it would arrive.
The fabric itself was as expected washed well it waiting to be sewn up this week
I made my first kaftan and it worked really well. Lovely and soft thin for brushed cotton but great for kaftan shorts or a shirt. I should have used a binding on the seams or a French seam, as it frayed a bit. Brilliant fabric for British climate except the heat waves.
