I did buy this to line a coat, but I haven't made it yet. Instead, I went through my scraps and made this patchwork quilted jacket. "Sewgirl Quilted Bibi Jacket". I even used scraps of wadding this jacket cost me £2.00 for the lining, the rest from scraps in my stash...Anyway, although the photos do not the glorious golds any justice, the lining completes the look with soft and silky luxury. Have ordered more for my winter coat... it's lovely
So good I bought it twice. I have used it to line a coat and to make a headband (pictured). It is sturdy with good weight and does not easily get pulls.
Sews beautifully and such great value. My husband loves wearing the shirt that I made out of it, as it feels lovely against his skin. Was so pleased with it that I have bought several more meters of it to make myself a lounge suit and a maxi dress.
I would line a jacket (assuming I can find a simple pattern!) With this but might also make some elasticated trousers as it is quite funky. Seems to fray quite a lot and it is very slippery but that was to be expected
Needed a small piece of lining for pockets on a pair of trousers. I choose to buy this, minimum buy of 3 meters, which means I can make something else. It is thin, but still good enough for a top. Lovely colour ways.
Excellent service and delivery as always. I have been looking at this fabric for ages and finally took the plunge and ordered night to make a kimono and possibly slip style nightgown too. Lovely fabric , silky and fluid but thicker than other satins I have bought. It’s on my to make list !!!
Fabric is lovely. Great for summer flows well and no issues sewing it. Shall probably make it into a skirt as don’t like style of this dress on me but uploaded so you can see fabric made up
This is the second time purchasing this fabric frist over a year ago I used it to line a 1950 style swing coat everyone loved it and commented how unusual.
