Cotton lawn is a lightweight sheer cotton fabric which is heavier than voile but also slightly transparent. It is soft and wonderful to wear, making it perfect for summer clothes or for regular wear in hotter climates.
This fabric is suitable for shirts and blouses, dresses, nightdresses, children’s wear, and it can also be used as a lining or as a window dressing instead of net curtains!

Perfect fabric for a simple summer dress, this is the TATB lotta dress, I just changed the patch pockets to inseam pockets , very happy with it 👍🏻
I had a bit of a problem with my initial order, but all was resolved very reasonably - hats off to Pound Fabrics. It gives you confidence to know that you’re dealing with a decent company. Just beautiful fabric, lovely next to the skin. Glad I bagged the last few metre. I’ve made Now & Then’s Evelyn blouse and their Bella pants. Pattern on fabric just right for the era. I am currently making the Beach Pyjamas from same pattern company, I made them in some of cotton sateen purchased from pound fabrics too.
Really unusual design and I loved the colours! I made a little top and later made some trousers to match… photos to follow. Nice cool cotton for this hot weather!

I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with this fabric and then the heatwave came so I made a very plain loose dress that was perfect. The design is lovely and the cotton is really soft. Yet again you come up with quality at a reasonable price. Thank you PF.

It washed perfectly and hardly creased. I made a mid-length skirt that is swishy and cool.

This is lovely fabric at a great price. A quality cotton lawn that I’m using for lining a quilted jacket but would be good for a summer blouse. Unusual print.
I love this fabric and wish I had ordered more. I've washed it prior to cutting out and it feels great. Ironed easily and will make a really striking summer dress. Can't wait to start on it.
I am delighted with my fabric because it is very light and soft. I am making a summer holiday dress which is going to look amazing and I am going to wear my dress when I go to the beach. I especially love the print which is so appropriate for bucket and sand holidays.
I love this fabric it just screamed quality.After a stressful day at work I was determined to quickly cut out my shirt pattern only to find when I came to sew it I had cut the pattern upside down! I was gutted tried to order more but was sold out. Lesson learned
Beautiful quality. Really quirky design. Colours are on the sludge side, with splashes of bolder colours, but great fun, for a shirt, blouse, dress, skirt or summer trousers. Excellent.
