This medium-weight velvet is covered with silver embellishments that are securely bonded to the fabric, ensuring they do not fall off. This fabric is perfect for a range of dressmaking and furnishing projects. This fabric features stretch across the width as well as a slight give across the length.
The silver sparkles vary in size, they add a gorgeous shine to the fabric and add a slight texture to the fabric, however, it is still mostly smooth to the touch. Available in 4 colours: Black, Royal Blue, Green, and Navy.

Love this fabric. Really sparkly but not over the top. Sparkles did not shed or drop off, sewed up really well, not too slippery & hardly any fraying. Dress took 2 metres costing £5.00, amazing.

Lovely fabric and perfect for a festive or special occasion make. The silver flecks are embedded and really do not shed. It washed well and was easy to sew. Such excellant value too. I've made the Itch to Stitch Iquazu top and the cowl neck in this fabric drapes really beautifully.
Velvet is usually a beggar to sew with bits everywhere but this wasn’t like that at all. Really nice to handle and the perfect amount of stretch. This dress was a mix of two patterns for a NYE dress for a friend of mine.
Skirts for the dance group: love the flow of the material and the stretch is just perfect. Once I understood the importance of the nap (the two pieces of the skirt had to be cut in the same direction), I cracked it. Looking forward to using the black as well.
Not sewn velour before but was tempted by the colour and the price! Did a lot of tacking and basting to hold seams in place. No fraying but quite a lot of curling on the edges.
But a gorgeous sparkly colour and sewed up nicely and given this small girl's dress a lovely drape.
Colour is beautiful. Surprisingly my machine didn't mind the spangles (which do not come off). Sewing-wise, this behaves in much the same way as crushed velvet in that it tends to curl at the cut edges. I used a jersey needle and lightning stitch having basted all seams first.
I had this fabric in mind for a dress. Unfortunately when it arrived it had a couple of flaws in it. Pound Fabrics were great but weren’t able to replace it as it had sold out. So I’ve so far worked around the flaws and got a top, a crown and a couple of bows out of it! I love it and it’s perfect for Christmas 🎄
This is beautiful velour fabric. Easy to work with, despite the 2 way stretch. I did tack all the seams before machine sewing, as it will move against itself. I also cut out on the right side for the same reason. The blue colour is lovely, a deep royal blue. The photo makes it look a bit purple, but it isn't. The sparkles are evenly spread, which the photo doesn't quite capture. I am delighted with the result.
