A plain, lightweight double gauze fabric. Double gauze is a breathable and soft fabric, which is made from two layers of fine open woven cotton (muslin). They are attached together with tiny stab stitches in a grid pattern at regular intervals, however this is barely visible. It has a natural crinkle texture that gives it a lovely look.
This fabric is ideal for making lightweight dresses, trousers, tops, blouses, scarves, shirts and more!

Lovely light fabric for summer wear. Pattern is Itch to Stitch 'Sorata'. Fabric is easy to sew but may need lining.
My first ever sewing project. Hand sewn this regency style dress and I am so glad I was able to get this lovely fabric for such a low price. I didn’t want to get anything too fancy or expensive for the first project in fear I would mess it up!
I made a Rhapsody blouse by Love Notions (with an added placket). This was my first time sewing double gauze and I had no issues. I even managed to turn through a fine rouleau strip for my ties. The fabric is soft and comfortable to wear. With double gauze, you have to decide whether you'll be ironing the finished garment or leaving it crinkled before you do the cutting out. I left it crinkled and I love it!
Clout is more accurate inthe picture with the other double gauzes. It is lovely and light weight and perfect for my hopefully wearable muslins for summer dresses.
Lovely fabric. Quiet thick but easy to sew. Love the colour. I purchased 3 meters, and made a pair of wide leg trousers with side pockets, a sleeveless top, and a summer dress. Pleased with how everything turned out. But, after washing at 30 degrees on quick wash, the fabric did shrink and whilst the top and dress were both still OK size wise, the trousers length was quite significant. Luckily, I had not cut the initial extra length so had sufficient to undo and re-hem.
Great fabric to cut and sew. This double gauze is really great for hot weather. I made this up on Bank Holiday Monday, the hottest ever on record. Really comfy and looks great. I also made a pair of trousers with this fabric. They are great too.
i got this to make a skirt for re-inactment demo in the summer time which means i will be making it this winter. but it is nice and light and airy. so it should keep me cool and looking right in open air demos.
Lovely good quality double gauze fabric. It is lightweight but still has a nice thickness to it. The sage is similar to the website picture and great for summer dressmaking. The fabric is nice and soft but I am going to wash first before making anything. Also bought lemmon and the two colours really go well together.
Fabulous fabric and so cheap in the sale, ordered 6m as I’m not sure what to make yet. Maybe a jumpsuit with a small jacket or a gathered layered dress.
