This Rip Stop Fabric is thin and lightweight and naturally water repellent. Rip-Stop is a strong fabric due to the cross-hatch pattern of polyester threads woven into the pattern. This makes it ideal for flags, banners, bags, play-tents, lightweight water repellent jackets, etc.

I was a bit worried how it would sew but it was really nice not slippery and cut really well.
I made a shower coat for a greyhound. The first outing it decided to rain heavily and although he didn’t get soaked it is, as described water resistant NOT water proof, but for a light shower it’s just fine. Really lightweight fabric, so is a Pocket Shower coat.
Once I'd changed my needle to suit the fabric sewing was so easy. I also used waterproof thread as the jacuzzi cover I made will be outside in all weathers. I've bought more of this fabric to make a BBQ cover and washing line cover 😁👍
I used the camouflage ripstop to make a raincoat for my dog, I used PF fleece for the lining and really pleased with both fabrics. Will definitely buy again
I’ve made a swimming tote bag - first thing I’ve ever actually made. Great fabric. Stitches really nicely. Was surprised how easily it cut and went together.
Easy to cut & sew, ideal for my daughter when she's using a pottery wheel, just rinse off & drip dry. I also made a jacket for my husband when he's wood turning, keeps all the dust off his clothes.
I'm new to sewing, and this was the first time I'd used any fabric other than cotton. I was a bit anxious about how difficult it might be to sew but was amazed at how easy it was and really easy to iron too. This was my first attempt at making a tote bag and pouch, very pleased with the results. Also made a couple of drawstring bags for Geocaching. Will definitely be buying this style of fabric again!
I've bought this green camo ripstop nylon a few times. It's absolutely fantastic for making camo bags to cover geocaching containers. It's cheap, doesn't rip to shreds easily, doesn't get brittle when exposed to sunlight for long periods and doesn't tend to get chewed on by hungry critters.
Great fabric to sew. Made double layer rotary line cove with elastic channel to cinch it in at the base and prevent it blowing off. The inside layer is reinforced at the top with some cotton scraps to prevent the rotary line from smashing through when the weather plays rough.
Great water resistant material, I ordered more than I needed for my original project so I copied the rotary washing line cover idea. Was very easy to sew and only took 30 mins in total. TY Pound Fabric.
Brought the camo Ripstop Fabric to make a pet jacket, lined it with the blue fleece also from Pound Farics and have also made pet pj's/onesie out of the blue fleece.

I hadn’t sewn with Ripstop before but it was easy to cut and sew. I made a dog coat for my cocker spaniel with it and used the heart fleece as lining. Brilliant fabric
This fabric is excellent value and easy to work with! I have made awning curtains for our Motorhome and they have already served us well, keeping off rain, wind and shade from 40 degree sun! They have been admired and I have since made a full set of gazebo curtains in the blue too for a friend! Sews easily and strong enough to attach Velcro, ties etc, whilst also being incredibly lightweight and packing small.
Great ripstop fabric, I made myself a pair of water repellent hiking trousers. Nice to sew with, good colour to go with my black shop bought jacket. Really pleased with how they turned out. Its the Pomoma pants sewing pattern, which doesn't have a side seam, ideal for these trousers !
I wanted something to keep me and more importantly my chair dry whilst I’m watching the old man drive round on his little train. This fits the bill even if I do feel that I should audition for Star Wars when I stand up!
I buy a lot of camo fabric to make simple bags for geocaching. I've found this ripstop nylon to be the best fabric for that. If you don't know: geocaching involves hiding boxes out in the countryside for others to find using an app on their phone. These camo fabric bags are a simple (and cheap) way to hide the boxes effectively.
Lovely material and very easy to work with, even for a novice like me! The reverse is printed with grid lines which made cutting straight edges simple, which I did to make the binding.
